Damaged parts must be repaired before the tool is used again. Poorly maintained power tools are
the cause of many accidents.
f)
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Sharpened and carefully maintained blades are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
g)
Use the power tool, accessories, fittings and other parts as described in the manual. Consider the
working conditions and the nature of the job. The use of a power tool for applications other than
those specified is potentially dangerous.
h)
Do not use the tool if guards or other protective devices are missing or damaged.
i)
Be careful not to touch the blades when the starting the tool.
j)
Be careful not to touch the blades with your hands or feet.
k)
The ventilation openings must remain clear at all times.
Battery operated tools: precautions and use
a)
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one
type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b)
Use tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
c)
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d)
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery. Avoid contact with the liquid. If
contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause skin irritation or burns.
Exposure to vibration
Working with this tool generates vibrations in the hands and arms. Take the following steps to reduce
the impact of vibrations:
•
Take frequent breaks or change activity if the vibrations are strong,
•
Keep your hands warm,
•
Do not hold the handles too tight during the work.
•
Work only with machines and abrasives with flawless technique.
•
If you work with a machine with adjustable speed, set it to the level required for the current
job.
In case of non compliance with the above recommendations, working with strong vibrations over a long
period may cause health problems.
Caution:
The vibration emission during actual use of the power tool can differ from the declared total
value depending on the ways in which the tool is used.
Disclaimer:
The appropriate measures should be taken to protect the user based on an estimate of
exposure during normal use of the tool (taking into account all stages of the cycle of use: shut down
load operation, tool operation in use).
Safety Instructions: Battery and Charger
a)
The charger should not be exposed to rain and moisture in general. A risk of electric shock exists if
moisture gets inside the unit.
b)
Do not use a charger other than that recommended by the manufacturer to charge the battery. The
chargers designed to charge a given battery type can catch fire if used with other batteries.
