To correctly transport the motor drive pump, use chains or elevation
flanges, or place the motor drive pump on a pallet, having correctly
fixed it in place, lift it using an elevator cart designed for such
transport.

DANGER

Do not move the motor drive pump whilst in operation.
If it is manipulated at points other than those indica-

ted, this may cause damage to the motor drive pump and constitute
a risk for the operators.

During the elevation process, all personnel should be kept at a suffi-
cient distance. The operators must wear protective helmets.

ATTENTION

To avoid the risk of fire, allow the motor to cool down
before transport or placing the motor drive pump in
interior storage.

ATTENTION

Before transporting the motor drive pump, switch the
fuel tap into the OFF position and place the body of the

motor drive pump on a flat surface to prevent fuel spillage, as spilt
petrol or its flumes could cause combustion.

If the motor drive pump is to be left in disuse for a long period of
time, the following operations should be undertaken.

Possible leaks

Cause

Solution

The motor does not start.

- Lack of fuel in the deposit.
- Fuel valve closed.
- Dirty spark plugs.
- Dirty carburettor.
- Broken or defective piston.
- Fuel tap in the OFF position.
- Motor drive switch in the OFF position.
- Lack of oil.
- The fuel has not reached the carburettor.
- The spark plugs do not produce sparks.

- Fill the fuel deposit.
- Open the said valve.
- Clean or substitute it for a new one.
- Clean it or consult an Official Technician.
- Consult an Official Technician.
- Change the position to ON.
- Change the position to ON.
- Add oil up to the maximum level on the supply rod.
- Contact an Official Technician.
- Add oil up to the maximum level on the supply rod.

The motor functions
irregularly.

- Defective spark plugs.
- Dirty air filter.
- Deterioration of the carburettor.
- Closed STARTER.

- Clean it or substitute it for a new one.
- Clean it with new petrol from the motor.
- Substitute it for a clean, new fuel.
- Turn the STARTER lever to the RUN position.

 Abnormal vibrations.

- Some protective element, sheet etc.
- Broken transmission mechanism.

- Re-tighten all the generator screws.
- Contact a technician.

The pump does not take
in water

. The quantity of water is insufficient.
- Obstructed filter.
- Hose bracket is not fixed in place.
- Damaged Hose.
- Suction strength is too high.

- Incorrect priming.
- Clean the filter.
- Tighten the bracket.
- Change the hose.
- Refer to the technical characteristics table.

- Remove the spark plugs, squirt 3 to 4 cc of oil into the spark plug
opening over the head of the cylinder and make two attempts to
start the motor without fully firing up the motor drive pump, in such
a way that the motor rotates a number of times facilitating the
spread of the oil throughout the cylinder and the piston. This opera-
tion prevents the formation of rust in the cylinder, piston and valve.

- Fuel Release.

1. Put the fuel tap in the OFF position.
