Starting up your Rotalis 3
Please unpack your watchwinder carefully (removing the packaging material provided for
transporting again.
Open the three crosshatch screws of the battery cover at the bottom, insert the included
batteries and then close them again. Please ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly.
Alternatively, connect the power pack (please only use the power pack supplied) to the socket
in the opening next to the battery compartment with the Rotalis 3. The on/off switch is also
located here, switch on the Rotalis 3. The watch winder will now move to the right with the
preset programming of 800 turns.
The software of the Rotalis 3 is designed in such a way that it follows the daily routine of a
watch wearer and thus has an avtive and a sleeping phase. With the »initial start-up« you
can s pecify the desired daily period in which the watch winder should turn. For example, if

he clocks start
moving every day from 8 a.m. for 16 hours. From this point on, the watch winder units will
then function from 8 o'clock in the morning to 12 midnight every day so that they can then
have a sleeping phase lasting 8 hours. During this sleeping phase, the mainspring in the
wristwatch is slackened to allow the watch to function in an optimum operating range.
To change the start time, switch off your Rotalis 3 and switch it on again at the desired start
time. Or use the “Restart” function in Smart Interface.
In order to ensure the best possible storage of your watch and extend the battery life, we
recommend programming the winder individually.
Individual programming of the respective watch winder unit is absolutely necessary for
wristwatches that wind on the left.
Please note:
Changes to the settings can only take place when the power pack is connected!
The WLAN module is automatically deactivated after approx. 30 minutes. Inserting
the power supply unit in order to carry out or to change the programming can
reactivate the WLAN module. If the mover is plugged in, it can be activated again by
disconnecting and reinserting the power supply.
Once the Rotalis 3 has been programmed as desired and the data has been transfer-
red, the connection to the power supply can be disconnected and the mover conti-
nues to operate in battery operation.
