11.6.10.9 password
Use this command to change the password for administrators and users of
the ECN. Also use this command to change or set the minimum length of
the password, that is the minimum number of characters in the password.
Command level:
ecn330(config system)#

Syntax
password change old < password > new < password >
password length < Min. characters >
Arguments:
•
old <password>
– Insert the old password.
•
new <password>
– Insert the new password.
•
length <Min. characters>
– Insert the minimum length of
the password.
Default Settings
Default minimum length of password is 6.
Command Usage
This command is used to change the password for administrators and us-
ers of the ECN switch. The password for the Web user is not affected. Set-
ting the minimum length of the password is not automatically synchronized
with the value in PEM. Neither is the password of user switch, which is
used from PEM. The minimum length value can be read out by using the
show
command.
