11.6.10.9 password 

Use this command to change the password for administrators and users of 
the ECN. Also use this command to change or set the minimum length of 
the password, that is the minimum number of characters in the password. 

Command level:

Syntax

Arguments:

Default Settings 

Default minimum length of password is 6. 

Command Usage 

This command is used to change the password for administrators and us-
ers of the ECN switch. The password for the Web user is not affected. Set-
ting the minimum length of the password is not automatically synchronized 
with the value in PEM. Neither is the password of user switch, which is 
used from PEM. The minimum length value can be read out by using the 

show

 command.
