Replacing saw blade (Fig. C, J, O)
Follow these steps for replacing a worn or damaged saw blade:
1. Turn height adjusting handle (7) clockwise to raise saw blade (26) to maximum
height.
2. Pull out and hold locking knob (49) (Fig. J step 1) and remove the blade guard (1)
from the riving knife (25).
3. Loosen the four cross-screws (39) with the screwdriver and remove the table insert
(27). (Fig. C step 1 & 2)
4. Lock the outer blade flange (61) with one provided blade wrench (20) and lock the
fixing nut (62) with other provided blade wrench (20) (Fig. O)
5. Turn the blade wrench (20) for the fixing nut (62) anticlockwise to loosen it.
6. Remove fixing nut (62), outer blade flange (61) and saw blade (26). Do not remove
inner flange (63).
7. Place a new saw blade on the spindle (64) and make sure that the bore of the saw
blade fits to the inner flange (63) properly. Ensure that the rotational direction
indicated on the saw blade is the same as the one (65) shown beside the spindle
(64).
8. Secure the saw blade (26) with the outer blade flange (61) and fixing nut (62). Tighten
the fixing nut (62) clockwise with the provided blade wrench (20).
9. Turn the saw blade (26) by hand to test if it is rotating smoothly. It should not flutter.
10. The saw blade (26) should be aligned with the riving knife (25) and ensuring there
is a gap of 3 to 8 mm between the blade teeth and the riving knife (25).
11. Replace a new table insert if necessary. Reinstall the table insert (27) and blade
guard (1). Ensure the blade guard rests on the table top but will lift when the work
piece is pushed into the table.
