TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Call a qualified person to repair the appliance. This electrical product complies with current
safety standards It must only be repaired by qualified technicians using original spare parts.
Any failure to observe this instruction may lead to serious risk for users.
IF THE WATER IS COLD OR LUKEWARM
– Check the appliance is connected to the power supply and the main distribution
board circuit-breaker is in the ON position
.
If OK, turn off the power (circuit-breaker OFF), check there is no power to the water
heater (using a multimeter).
– Check the thermostat is not set to frost-free mode
(position #1, see fig. 6, page 87); if
necessary increase the temperature setting on the thermostat by turning it anti-clockwise
(position #5 max, see fig. 7, page 87). If the thermostat safety device is released, re-
engage it by pressing the red button.
NOTE: if the safety device has to be reset more than 10 times, it is better to replace the
thermostat.
IF THE WATER IS TOO HOT
Repeat the above actions and lower the thermostat setting (clockwise direction).
LEAK PROBLEM
– Leak located on the hot and cold water connectors
→< 3} Reconnect all the connections
– Leak located on the nuts under the plastic cover
→ Replace the waterproofing seal.
– Leak located on the tank
→ The tank is corroded: replace water heater
– Leak on the safety valve
→ Normal draining during heating phase. Connect the drain to the outlet.
LOUD NOISE OF BOILING
If the noise is heard during heating, descale the water-heater. Otherwise, call a plumber.
A slight boiling sound is normal with screened resistances.
