Paper Take-up Mechanism Unit
The paper take-up mechanism is consisted of the take-up drive pulley, the take-up shaft
assembly, the take-up gear, the take-up belt, the take-up transmission gear, the paper hold
roller, the take-up drive gear and the paper hold roller gear.
Paper Take-up operation
The take-up operation of roll paper is executed as follows:
First, the rotating power of the paper feed motor is transmitted to the paper feed reduction gear,
the paper feed roller, the take-up drive gear and take-up transmission gear. Next, that rotating
power is transmitted to the take-up drive pulley, take-up torque spring and take-up gear
through take-up belt, then rotate the take-up shaft assembly. Finally, the roll paper is taken up to
the take-up shaft assembly.
The function of the take-up torque spring, which is located in the take-up drive pulley, is to take
up the paper with a stable rotating power. The balance of the rotating torque transmitted
through the take-up belt and the loading change during taking up the paper generates the stable
rotating power (The rotating torque and the loading change during taking up the paper will
change the diameter of the take-up torque spring and use the clutch function which changes the
slipping torque between the take-up drive torque and the shaft of the take-up gear.)
