Paper Feed Motor Gear Backlash Adjustment

This adjustment is required either when:

● 

The paper feed motor is replaced or when its mounting position is shifted.

Step 1 :

Remove the printer mechanism (Refer to Section 4.2.4.1.).

Step 2:

Loosen the two 

 

 screws on the paper feed motor.

Step 3:

Manually rotate the paper feed motor, and adjust the gear backlash between the pinion and the

paper feed reduction gear.

Allowable backlash:

Step 4:

Tighten the screws on the paper feed motor.
