The
Encoding
option enables you to save a PostScript
document as
Binary
(default) or
ASCII.
Use
Binary
(default)
to reduce the quantity of data; use
ASCII
if you plan to later
edit the document.
Printer Prep
The
Printer Prep
pop-up allows you to choose
Temporary
(default),
None, Permanent,
and
Interrogate.
Permanent
saves the prepared settings so that the driver
does not perform the preparation for the next printing.
Temporary
does not save the prepared settings. The driver
must re-prepare the settings for the next print job.
Interrogate
specifies that the printer driver query the
printer whether preparation is needed. Preparation is done
only if the printer specifies that it be done. The prepared
settings are lost after printing.
When
None
is selected, the driver assumes that the printer
is already prepared.
If you are using AppleTalk, the recommended setting is
Permanent
for the first job and
None
for all following
print jobs.
If not all users are using the EpsonScript driver, set this
option to
Permanent;
do not select
Interrogate.
Paper From
Selects the paper source from one of the following:
Automatic
(default),
Custom, Use SelecType’s PAGESIZE,
Standard Bin, Optional Lower Cassette,
and
Manual
Feed.
The actual option you see depends on your printer.
