Method 2. Pairing with Communication Cable

Step1:

Switch off system power and the remote control.

Step2:

Connect the remote control and the Communication module with a  communi-

cation cable.

Step3:

Switch on system power and the remote control. Wait for them to get paired in

seconds.  Pairing succeeds when home page displays.

No matter it is in wireless communication status or not, it will switch to wired
communication status when you are pairing with a communication cable.

If the control system or the pod drive is replaced with a new one, the original
wireless link will break and wireless communication failure will occur. The main
page of the LCD panel on the Remote Control will display as below. In this case,
users should conduct pairing again.

Figure 5-11

However, if the Remote Control and the pod drive are not replaced, but the LCD
panel still displays like this, you should check and:

1)

  Make sure the Remote Control is not far from the outboard motor;

2)

Make sure all the equipment involved is normally powered on.

If the Remote Control still displays like Figure 5-11 after check, it indicates an
error has occurred. Please contact your dealer for repair.
