5 Maintenance
5.1
Preventive maintenance schedule
To guarantee the function of the clamping unit the following preventive
maintenance schedule must be adhered to:

Replace sealing ring
axial
sealing

regular check if it is damaged or polluted (visual check)
check the sealing ring; replace it if necessary >> 5.1.1 / Page 8
test pull-in force (we recommend: use
Power-Check
).
If the pull-in force is smaller than 70 % of the nominal value, the following
procedures have to be performed in the following sequence:
regrease * and test pull force again
* grease the friction surface with KLÜBER Wolfracoat C
exchange clamping unit completely
screw out locking screw
remove damaged sealing ring
place the new sealing ring
screw in locking screw and tighten it
check the correct position
