6. Caring for your Envision Glasses
In this chapter you will find information on how to ensure your Envision Glasses run
smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
6.1 Charging
The built-in battery inside the Envision Glasses can last 4 to 6 hours depending on
what features you use. To charge the device, plug in a USB-C cable and connect it to
an adapter. The glasses will speak out the current battery level once plugged in
(and plugged out). The glasses also support fast charging, which can be activated by
using a fast charging adapter. This will allow the device to be charged up to 50% in
30 minutes.
6.2 Powering on and off
The Envision Glasses can be powered on and off or set to sleep mode when not in
use. We only suggest powering off the device when you do not plan to use it for a
prolonged period of time. Hold the power button down firmly for 3 seconds to turn
the device on. The process takes about a minute, after which a sound will play to
indicate they are ready to use. To power off the device, hold the power button
down firmly for 6 seconds. A sound will play to indicate the Envision Glasses are
shutting down.
6.3 Sleep or awake
When you are not using the glasses, it is best to keep them on sleep mode in order
to conserve battery. There are different ways to set your device to sleep mode. A
subtle audio cue will play to indicate each time the glasses are awake or asleep.
Note: If you remain idle on the home screen for longer than 30 seconds, the device
will automatically go to sleep.
6.3.1 Folding the glasses
The most convenient way to put your glasses to sleep is by folding the frame. The
hinge sensor will detect that your glasses are closed and set them to sleep mode.
