Bypassing and Un-Bypassing With the Effects Button
Y ou can use the E ff ects button as a convenient bypass/un-bypass toggle switch.
To Bypass an Individual Effect Using the Effects Button
I n o r de r to bypass one o f the E ff ects using the E ff ects button, the M R - R ack ’ s display must
show :

This should be the name of the Effect you want to bypass
Y ou can get to this display easily, r ega r dless o f whe r e in the M R - R ack you a r e when you
decide to bypass an E ff ect. One o f these scena r ios should apply to you :
• I f you ’ r e not cu rr ently wo r king on the E ff ects, p r ess the E ff ects button so that its yellow
L ED lights. T u r n the Pa r amete r knob to dial in the ve r sion o f the display above that
shows the E ff ect you want to bypass.
• I f you ’ ve j ust begun to wo r k on the E ff ects — and its yellow L ED is lit — but haven ’ t yet hit
Ente r to sta r t editing the I nse r t E ff ect, Global Cho r us o r Global R eve r b pa r amete r s,
tu r n the Pa r amete r knob to dial in the ve r sion o f the display above that shows the E ff ect
you want to bypass.
• I f you ’ r e cu rr ently editing the I nse r t Cont r ol Pa r t o r Bypass pa r amete r — and the E ff ect
button ’ s yellow L ED is lit — tu r n the Pa r amete r knob to dial in the ve r sion o f the display
above that shows the E ff ect you want to bypass.
• I f you ’ r e cu rr ently editing the I nse r t E ff ect, Global Cho r us o r Global R eve r b pa r amete r s,
p r ess the E ff ect button and then tu r n the Pa r amete r knob to dial in the ve r sion o f the
display above that shows the E ff ect you want to bypass.
Once the “ Hit EN T E R to edit : ” display appea r s, and the E ff ect you want to bypass is showing
on its bottom line :
1. P r ess the E ff ects button.
T he E ff ects button ’ s r ed L ED will light and the display will show :

*BYPD* tells you the Effect is bypassed
