The Environ summary contains the following elements: 
 

Current Temperature:

 This shows the ambient temperature where the 

Environ is installed. 
 

Settings:

 Displays the operating range of the Environ Smart Thermostat and 

allows you to temporarily override your current program:

Grab and move the left control to set heater to heat your home to your 
preferred temperature during cool weather.  

x

 

Grab and move the right control to set the air conditioner to cool your 
home to your preferred temperature during warm weather.  

 

Mode:

 Displays the current operating mode of the thermostat and allows you 

to change it. 
 

x

 

AUTO – 

Choose this option to enable the Environ to switch 

automatically between heat and cool throughout the year. The Environ 
will switch from HEAT to COOL as needed. 

x

 

COOL – 

Choose this option to operate only the cooling portion of your 

HVAC system. Programmed time slot heat entries will be ignored. 

x

 

HEAT  – 

Choose  this  option  to  operate  the  heating  portion  of  your 

HVAC system. Programmed time slot cool entries will be ignored. 

x

 

OFF - 

Choose this option to take your HVAC system “off-line.” In this 

mode your thermostat will not control HVAC functions and your house 
may experience extreme heat or cold.
