Using the NFC interface

Using the NFC interface requires the following:

◼

NFC reader (either PC USB accessory or suitable smartphone / tablet)

◼

NFC SW with read, write, PIN lock, PIN unlock and PIN change functionality

For PC applications, EnOcean recommends the TWN4 Multitech 2 HF NFC Reader (order
code T4BT-FB2BEL2-SIMPL) from Elatec RFID Systems (

[email protected])

This reader is shown in Figure 24 below.

NFC functionality is also available in many Android and iOS smartphones. Google and Apple
provide the required SW frameworks to create applications using the NFC functionality of
such devices.
