f) Tighten the female coupling with your hands, turning it a few times. Insufficient torque will cause
leaks of cooling fluid. Excessive torque on the coupling will damage the edge of the pipe and cause
leaks.

Connecting the refrigerant connections to the outside unit:
a) Remove the protecting caps from the ends of the 2 and 3 way valves. Place the end of the tube
so that it is pointing downwards, cutting the pipe at the intended point, making sure to clean off
any burrs, place nuts and flange the pipes.
b) Tighten the pipes to their respective valves. It is recommended that you use a screw head sealant
on all existing threaded connections.
