7. MAINTENANCE
7.1.
Safety instructions for the repair of the product
When carrying out maintenance on the battery or the multi-charger, it is strongly
recommended to wear full body protection such as safety glasses, safety suit, safety shoes
and safety gloves. If you do come into contact with battery acid, follow the instructions in
chapter 10.3.
• Repairs to the product may only be carried out by a qualified service technician and
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Protect the multi-charger against water ingress. Do not pour any liquids into the multi-
charger.
• If the multi-charger does not work properly or if you notice that it is damaged, immediately
unplug it from the wall outlet and remove it from service. Contact your dealer as soon as
possible.
• No modifications or alterations to this multi-charger shall be made without the prior written
approval of the original manufacturer, its authorised representative, or a successor thereof
which may affect capacity, stability or safety requirements of the multi-charger but not
limited to these examples.
• Switch off the multi-charger before carrying out maintenance.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the multi-charger from the outlet before
attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls will not reduce this risk.
• Do not open the cabinet. Only qualified personnel are permitted to open this.
