TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Always wear safety shoes and gloves when working with the multi-charger or battery.
1. Transport
You can find the weight of the charger in chapter 2.1. Technical data.
Determine if it is too heavy for you to carry or not.
If you can carry the charger yourself, carry it in an upright position, with the ventilation facing down.
If you decide that the charger is too heavy to carry, you can transport it on a cart with wheels. If you
transport it on a cart, lay the multi-charger flat with the display facing upwards. Make sure that the
charger is fastened with a strap.
Don’t tension the strap in such a way that the LED screen and the digital part on the front of
the charger can be damaged.
2. Storage
• Make sure that the multi-charger is located on a flat surface with the display facing upwards.
• Make sure that there is no direct sunlight on the multi-charger.
• Do not cover the multi-charger so that it can cool down sufficiently.
• Do not place the multi-charger in a humid area or a place where splashes of any kind of liquid can
reach it. The relative humidity must be less than 90%.
• The multi-charger should be stored in temperatures between –20 °C and 50 °C. Anything below or
above these temperatures will damage the multi-charger.
• Keep the multi-charger away from areas where sparks are generated.
• Provide good ventilation to prevent the accumulation of oxyhydrogen.
• Place protection around the multi-charger so that no one can drive into or collide with it.
• Place a fire extinguisher close by.
• Install smoke detectors nearby.
• Do not place any objects on the multi-charger.
If the charger will not be operated for more than 14 days straight, take the following points into
account:
• Pull out the plug.
• Place a light cloth over the charger. Do this only when it is unplugged from the socket.
• Do not bend or crack the cables! Do not squeeze the cables together using stretchers or quick-
release straps.
