3. Installation



It is strongly recommended to avoid damp or wet places for

installation.



EG-PMSU should be connected to the American type AC wall

socket.

3.1. Getting started



Connect EG-PMSU to the wall socket first and then to the USB

socket of the manageable computer or vice versa.



EG-PMSU can now be switched on and off by means of the

Main

rocker switch (Z)



The last socket of EG-PMSU is marked with the letter E. This socket

is switched on and off by means of the

Main rocker switch (Z)

and

cannot be managed by the computer – so it is called a

non-

manageable socket

in this manual.



If EG-PMSU is switched on then the red indicator inside the

main

rocker switch

is lit. In this case the non-manageable socket is now

live

and connected to the power supply.



The

sockets:

Socket A, Socket B, Socket C and Socket D

can be

managed or pre-programmed by computer via USB. They are called

manageable sockets

in this manual.
