Do sparks fly on
spark plug?
1. Remove spark plug, and with its metal part touching the cylinder
head, try to build sparks in the spark plug.
2. If no spark flies between the electrodes of the spark plug, replace it.
3. If still no spark flies, have a qualified service shop check the engine
Is compression
sufficient?
1. Check compression by pulling starter handle slowly.
If compression is low, check the tightness of the spark plugs and other
members, and tighten all loose members.
2 . If compression is still low, have a qualified service to check the
engine.
Is fuel sucked
into the
cylinder?
1. Set combination control lever to "CHOICE
"
, pull the starter handle
several times and remove spark plug.
If the end of the spark plug is wet with fuel, fuel suction is in order.
2. If fuel is not sucked properly, check the carburetor entry and fuel
strainer entry for possible blockage.
3. When fuel is properly sucked and still the engine can not be started,
try with new.
4. In case of no result, have a qualified service to check the engine.
