Reason 

Measure 

  The hose cannot be 

pulled out or wound. 

  The spring has been 

ruptured. 

  Replace the spring. 

  The hose cannot be 

pulled out. 

  The spring tension is 

increased too much and the 

spring has been tightly 

wound.

 

  Decrease the spring tension. 

See “5-2-2 Installation of tools and 

equipment and adjustment of the spring 

tension” 

  The spring tension is 

decreased too much and the 

fall-arrest device has been 

activated. 

  Release the fall-arrest device.   

See “5-2-3 Releasing the fall-arrest
