SAFETY SCREEN BARRIER, SURROUND AND DECORATIVE
FRONT INSTALLATION
Installation of Air Deflector
Note:
Air deflector is included in the carton with the Decorative
Fronts.
Note:
Air deflector
must
be installed before installation
of screen, surround and/or front accessories in this
manual.
1. Slide the air deflector into place as shown in Figure 29.
Secure the air deflector to the outer firebox with the two
#8 x 1/2” Phillips truss head screws (provided). See Figure
29.

NOTICE:
All DXT(30,35)IN Fireplace Inserts require the installa
-
tion of a Surround and Decorative Front. Installation
of a Screen Safety Barrier is optional, but recom-
mended.
Installation of Optional Fireplace Screen
1. Slide the hooks on the fireplace screen over the four pegs
(two each side) on the firebox. See Figure 30.
2. Secure the screen safety barrier to the firebox with two
#10 x 1/2 screws. See Figure 30.

Installation of Surround
1. Slide the hooks on the surround over the four pegs (two
each side) on the firebox. The surround fits over the optional
fireplace screen and onto the same pegs on the firebox. See
Figure 31.
Installation of Decorative Front
1. Slide the side hooks onto the four pegs (two each side)
on the firebox. Hook the support bracket on the top of the
decorative front into the slot provided in the middle of the
surround. See Figure 31
