9. AIR CONDITIONER MAINTENTANCE
9.4 Indoor unit filters cleaning
A clogged air filter can reduce the unit efficiency and also constitute a
danger to your health. Make sure to clean the filter every time it is
necessary.

Stop the unit, switch off the power and remove the air filter.

Open the front panel

Slightly press the filter handle from the front
Grasp the handle and slide the filter to the outside

Clean and replace the air filter (with the vacuum cleaner or,
if it is very dirty, flush it with lukewarm water and dry it up in
the shade).

Close again the front panel.
Refit and close the front panel by pressing down the position “b”.
If the air conditioner is located in a very dusty environment. clean the air
filter every 2 weeks
Note:
It is necessary to clean the air filter every 100 hours of operation
9.7 At the air conditioner restart after a long
inactivity
- Remove the protective cover from the outdoor unit and check if it is
clean.
- Clean the indoor unit filters.
- Put the batteries back into the remote control.
- Restore electric current and turn on the air conditioner using the remote
control.
9.5 Condensation water dry check
When using the air conditioner in the summer time check that the conden-
sation water is drained correctly from the indoor unit.
- Check the outflow of water from the end of the condensation discharge
pipe after the air conditioner has functioned for one hour.
- If there is no outflow of water, ask the authorized service centre to carry
out the necessary checks.
9.6 Before a long inactivity of the air conditioner
- Turn off the air conditioner and disconnect the electrical supply.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control.
- Cover the outdoor unit with a suitable protective cover.
9.8 Extraordinary maintenance
9.8.1 Sanitizing
At every season change (summer/winter) or when the unit has to be restar-
ted after a long period of inactivity, please contact the Customer Service
and ask for sanitizing the Indoor Unit.
9.8.1 Overall check of the whole system
Please also ask to the Customer Service every two years for a complete
check of the whole system conditions (electric system, refrigerant, con-
densation drain system)
