1-14 DATE AND TIME
The control module contains a real time clock
which keeps accurate time despite power inter-
ruptions. It is normally more accurate than the
clock in a PC. Every so often it updates the
software clock in the other modules. A software
clock is less accurate, and it loses its mind if the
power fails. Such clocks are kept in the ana-
lyzer module computers, and also in the Auto-
calibration I/O modules.
Set the clock in the System setup menus under
the Technical level configuration... menus.

details about setting up their timing.

Select
Date and time ...
Edit the time display format, and the hours,
minutes, month day and year.
When all is satisfactory, press the "SET”
button.
The
Current time:
line should now show the
correct date and time.
Verify that the
network updating:
line is en-
abled.
