When the communication protocol is "Communication Protocol between PSM-B9
Monitoring Module and the Host Main/Slave Node", relationship between the host
and monitoring module is active/slave. All reading, setting, and control process
must be initiated by the host, and the monitoring module is always in slave mode.
Monitoring module cannot report data to the host actively without the correct
command from the host.
The communication addresses of all the monitoring
modules, which communicate with the host, are set (through the dial switcher on
the monitoring main-board, detailed information can refer to the Chapter 3) and
make sure that the communication address of each monitoring module are not
repeated.
When the communication protocol is “Communication Protocol between PSM-B9
Monitoring Module and the Access Network Host”, the communication address
does not need setting. When the current alarm information, analog parameters,
state information, and etc., change, the monitoring module will report corresponding
information to the host actively, and the host can enquiry monitoring module
information in real time.
2. Control Functions
The power system can send control signals through the monitoring module
according to some inspecting values or the commands form the host.
(1) Turn on or turn off corresponding rectifier module according to rectifier on/off
commands sent by the host.
(2) Turn on or turn off the power for loads or batteries according to the power on/off
command and system parameters sent by the host.
(3) Control the on/off status of two digital outputs according to the control command
sent by the host.
(4) Control the equalized/floating charge statuses according to the control
command, control mode and system parameter sent by the host.
(5) Control the output of dry contact according to the system current alarm class.
(6) Control the start/stop of the battery discharge testing according to the command
sent by the host and current system state.
(7) Control over-temperature protection of battery and load according to the
command, control method, and system parameters sent by the host.
3. Detecting Function
The monitoring module of the power system is able to perform real time detection
of distribution module parameters, rectifier module parameters, environmental
parameters, and standby digital parameters.
