AVL Configuration Menu
This menu is used to configure the operational characteristics of the iR1600 in AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) mode. When in AVL
mode, it is possible for the iR1600 to go out of cell coverage, meaning that it will not be able to report its GPS data (i.e. position, speed,
etc.) back to the host system. The iR1600 has store and forward capabilities to handle the potential lost of GPS data. The store and
forward parameters can be set up from the AVL Configuration Menu.
The following table lists the parameters and descriptions available on the AVL Configuration Menu.

AVL Report Period
This parameter specifies how often the iR1600 will ‘push’
AVL (GPS) data to the remote.
If the value is set to “
0
”, this feature is disabled and the
modem will never push AVL data to the remote.
