EPS PEX
• Visually inspect the inside of
the fitting to ensure it is free of
dust, dirt and grit.
• Insert the EPS PEX-AL pipe
into the EPS Crimp Gas fitting.
Ensure that the pipe is fully
inserted into the fitting
by viewing the pipe through the
engagement witness holes in
the copper ring.
• For EPS Manual Crimping
Tools: Centralise the EPS Manual
tool – sized to suit the pipe and
fitting with jaws over the copper
crimp ring. Slowly bring the lever
handles together closing
the jaws completely ompressing the joint.
• For EPS approved Battery
Crimping Tool: Align the Battery
tool jaw centralized on copper
ring. Activate the battery tool
and compress the copper crimp
ring completely until the jaw is
closed.
• Check each joint has been
compressed correctly by using
the EPS Crimp Gauge. If the EPS
crimp gauge does not pass
over the copper crimp ring check
tooling, inspect and adjust the
tool according to instructions, then
re-crimp and test.
