Connections for IO500 module configured as multi-threshold latched input module (LI)
(max connection length between control equipment and input 1 is 10m)
IO500 Input module for pulsed dry
contacts
When programmed as input module for pulsed
dry contacts, the device monitors continuously
input 1; in the 10K
end of line resistor is
removed, the module signals fault n° 13 to the
control panel; when the input is short-circuited for
at least 0.2s, the module stores this information
and signals an alarm event to the control panel.
Available options for the input module are:
reset output with programmable duration and
the possibility of clearing the alarm condition
on the module by operating on input 2 or via
the control panel.
The reset output, when programmed as enabled,
makes it possible to activate the relay for the
programmed duration whenever the reset button
(global reset) is pressed on the control panel. The
relay activation duration can be programmed in a
range between 1 and 20 seconds with one-
second steps.
The way alarm condition is cleared in the module,
whether locally by pressing the button on input 2
or remotely by pressing the reset button (global
reset) on the control panel, can be configured.
In case of local reset, a NO contact shall be
connected in parallel with the 1K
end-of-line
resistor as shown in the figure.
End-of-line resistor removal leads to signalling a
n° 13 fault to the control panel (only if this
functionality is enabled).
Factory configuration of the input module for
pulsed dry contacts is the following:
enabled reset output with 3 seconds ON time
alarm condition clearing by control unit
"reset" button.
