Step 1:
Temporarily deactivate the tamper alarm using the program interface (portal, app or local control panel).
Step 2:
Remove the detector from its mounting position and remove the screws to open the upper cover.
Step 3:
Remove the flat batteries and hold the Tamper switch pressed for a few seconds to discharge the device completely.
Step 4:
Insert two new AA 3.6 V batteries.
Step 5:
Screw back the upper cover.
Step 6:
Install the detector in position.
Step 7:
Enable the tamper alarm again. The procedure is finished.
<NOTE>
During replacement, pay particular attention not to damage the contacts in the battery holder compartment.
⚫
Supervisor signal
⚫
After installation, the detector automatically transmits supervision signals to the control unit periodically at constant
intervals.
⚫
The control unit generates the supervision alarm if it does not receive the contact signal within the predetermined time.
⚫
Sleep Time
⚫
The detector has an automatic “
sleep time
” for approximately one minute for energy saving. After having transmitted a
detected movement, the detector will not transmit again for one minute. Any other movements detected during this one-
minute suspension time will extend the suspension time by a further minute. In this way, continuous movements in front
a detector will not drain the battery unnecessarily.
⚫
Double detection function
The detector has a double detection function If the double detection function is enabled, the detector signals an alarm to the
control unit only if two movements are detected in 10 seconds. If the double detection function is disabled, the detector
signals an alarm to the control unit whenever a movement is detected.
⚫
DIP Switch position table
⚫
The function of each DIP Switch is listed in the following table. The DIP Switch is in position ON or OFF. Position up
indicates ON, position down indicates OFF.
⚫
Preparation – Learning of the detector by the control unit
⚫
Loosen the screws and remove the cover.
⚫
Set the sensitive switch as needed as shown in the
DIP Switch position table
.
⚫
Insert two AA 3.6 V lithium batteries in the battery housing ensuring that the polarity is correctly connected.
⚫
The LED indicator will blink for 30 seconds. The detector is being initialised. During initialisation, the detector will not be
active. It is advisable not to generate any alarms during this time. Once the initialisation time has finished, the LED will
switch off and the detector is ready to start working.
⚫
Set the control unit to learning mode; see the instruction manual of the control unit for details.
⚫
Hold the Test button on the front cover pressed for a few seconds.
⚫
The corresponding information is displayed if the control unit receives the signal. Refer to the instruction manual of the
control unit to complete the learning process.
⚫
Put the control unit in Walk Test mode (motion Test) after the detector learning procedure. Hold the detector in the required
position, press the Test button to check that the concerned position is within the communication coverage range.
⚫
Proceed with the installation after having ascertained that the detector is working in the desired position.
⚫
Restoring default settings
If the detector has not been learnt correctly by the control unit, or if you want to remove it and associated to another control
unit, restore the default settings to eliminate the settings and the information stored in the detector before being able to
associate it with another control unit.
To restore the default settings:
1. Remove the batteries and refit them. IMPORTANT: The detector must be reset within 3 minute from switch-
on.
2. The tamper switch must be open (released).
3. Hold the function button pressed 10 seconds, then release it when the camera generates a light signal.
