• Turn the star knob clockwise to raise the spikes, and anti-
clockwise to lower the spikes.
• Check whether both wheels have been set at the same height
using the height meter.
• Check that the front side of the spiker is horizontal; if not,
depth adjustment must be carried out again.
• Tighten the outer nut on the left and right front wheel to
secure the depth setting.
For your information:
After adjusting the depth, the height of the feet should be adjusted, so that the
machine rests only on the wheels during operation. This is done using the other
end of the spanner that is included with the machine.
• Loosen the nuts on the inside of the feet and adjust the
height so that the spiker only rests on its feet when the
machine is tilted slightly backwards.
• Replace the spanner in the left handlebar.
11.3.3 Belt tension check
Warning:
Only check the belt tension with the engine off. In order to be able to check the
belt tension the cover must be removed from the belt and the engine. Wearing
gloves is mandatory.
• Remove the 4 Allen-screws from the belt-protection. (n° 4)
• Press the two free belt parts towards each other. For
sufficient belt tension and trouble-free operation of the spikes, a one centimetre distance
