11.3 Routine checks before each operation
11.3.1 Visual check
Check that the parts are not deformed, that welded seams are not cracked, and that parts do not
show excess play. If problems are found, carry out the necessary repairs first.
11.3.2 Checking and setting the depth control
CORRECT DEPTH SETTING = MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
Caution:
This maintenance may only be carried out with the engine off
and once the spikes have come to a complete stop.
Warning:
Wear gloves to perform this procedure.
Before turning the depth adjustment knobs, loosen the bolts on the wheels.
• Carefully place the scarifier on an even and hard surface. Make sure that the spikes do not get
damaged.
• Remove the spanner from the bottom right of the handle

Slightly loosen the outer nut on the left and right wheel.
