11.5.5 Checking the hydrostatic oil (EZR)
• In principle, the hydrostatic oil will last during the entire
lifetime of the machine. As a precaution, its level must be
checked at regular intervals.
• A small transparent oil compartment is situated at the back of
the machine. It contains markings for minimum and maximum
levels. Check that the oil level reaches the maximum marker.
• Should the oil level require a top-up nonetheless, ask your
ELIET dealer for the correct type of hydrostatic oil. The type of
oil you need is H-HST oil (viscosity index VI 195). ELIET recom-
mends the following two types of oil: Honda HST and Idemusta
100 WR.
11.5.6 General lubrication
ELIET feels it is important to use high-quality materials because these will prolong the life of the
machines which are sometimes used in rather extreme working conditions. Special lubricants
have therefore already been used in the factory. ELIET also recommends lubrication of the fol-
lowing parts on a regular basis:
• Bearing of the main drive shaft of the hydrostatic transmission box. (EZR)
• Bearing of the outgoing shafts of the hydrostatic transmission box towards the wheel drive.
(EZR)
• Bearing of the wheels.
• Bearing of the belt tensioners. (EZR)
• Hinges.
A. Bearing lubrication
Caution:
As is the case for all maintenance work, the engine/motor is switched
OFF. Disconnect spark plug cap or plug from wall socket.
• Lubrication of in- and outgoing shafts of the hydrostatic transmission box must be carried out
on the bottom the machine.
• The bottom can be accessed by placing the machine on supports and removing the wheels.
This has to be done anyway to lubricate the wheel bearing.
• The wheels are attached to the wheel axles with an M10 bolt and a pinion. Loosen both with
