7. MAINTENANCE
Any maintenance work not detailed in this handbook should be carried
out by an approved supplier or distributor. If further information is
required on any aspect of maintenance please contact Customer
Service.
WARNING!
ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE MAINS
ELECTRICAL POWER AND FEED WATER
SUPPLIES ARE SWITCHED OFF BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE A
CONSUMABLE ITEM.
7.1
Replacing the Purification Packs
The primary Purification Pack should be replaced in the following
circumstances:
•
The intermediate quality monitor indicates that the pack
requires changing. The default alarm setting is 15M
Ω
-cm for
Analytic or Genetic and 1M
Ω
-cm for all other models.
•
If the system is being recommissioned or sanitized after an
extended period during which it was not used.
•
If the pack has exceeded 6 months use as indicated by the
consumable reminder alarm.
Step 1 - Switch Unit Off
1. SWITCH
OFF
PURELAB Ultra
at the power inlet module.
2.
ISOLATE inlet water supply.
3.
REMOVE POU filter, if fitted.
4.
OPEN the front door
.
Step 2 - Remove the Primary Purification Pack (Left hand)
1. PUSH on Purification Pack top cap.
2. LIFT up Purification Pack.
3. SLIDE out Purification Pack.
4. DISCARD used primary Purification Pack.
Step 3 - Remove Polishing Purification Pack (Right hand)
1. PUSH on Purification Pack top cap.
2. LIFT up Purification Pack.
3. SLIDE out Purification Pack.
Note: DO NOT DISCARD THIS PACK. It should
now be fitted into the primary position.
