READ CAREFULLY
•
Read carefully the directions for use before using this unit.
•
Use
ONLY
for 6-12-24V acid accumulators.
•
Do not charge faulty batteries or different types.
•
Read carefully the instructions relative to the batteries.
•
Disconnect battery charger' s plug from the electricity supply before connecting or disconnecting the battery.
•
AVOID FLAMES OR SPARKS
during the charge because batteries generate explosive gas fumes while charging.
•
Use the battery charger in open spaces because voltaic arcs and sparks form inside the unit.
•
Protect the battery charger from humidity and water or rain drops.
•
Site the unit away from heated surfaces during use.
•
Maintain clean and clear the equipment ventilation grids.
•
ATTENTION! The batteries' acid is corrosive.
•
If Battery acid comes into contact with skin or clothing it should be washed immediately with water. If it comes into
contact with eyes they should immediately be washed in a water eyebath and a doctor consulted.
•
Do not attempt to re-charge non rechargeable batteries.
•
In case of replacement of the output fuse link, use one of equal capacity. (A.max).
Battery disposal:
Only return to an authorised battery disposal company.
Battery charger disposal:
Return metallic or electronic parts to authorised waste centres. Short circuit of the charger
clamps or incorrect connection will rupture the output fuse link, this must only be replaced by a fuse of equal capacity
(A. max).
RAPID charge:
10-15 minutes in the
maximum position
will usually give enough charge to start a car. In the case of
totally discharged or faulty batteries, the thermal overload may switch the charger off (the charge current is too high).
Once the unit has cooled down the thermal protection will automatically reset allowing the unit to be used again.
CONNECTION TO THE BATTERY
For the unit' s connection, follow the succession of the under mentioned operations:
•
Connect
the
RED
output cable to the battery terminal post not connected to the mass.

•
The unit is connected to correct power supply.
•
Good connection between charger clamps and battery terminals.
•
Fuse
is
