Initial Cleaning
• Remove all accessories and removable
shelf supports (if applicable).
• Clean the appliance before first use.
Refer to the chapter "Care and
cleaning".

Preheating
Preheat the empty appliance to burn off
the remaining grease.

and the maximum
temperature.

Let the appliance operate for 45 mi-
nutes.

temperature.

Let the appliance operate for 15 mi-
nutes.
Accessories can become hotter than usu-
ally. The appliance can emit an odour and
smoke. This is normal. Make sure that the
airflow is sufficient.

Turn the knob to a necessary heat
setting.

To stop the cooking, turn the knob to

Use the residual heat to decrease
energy consumption. Deactivate
the cooking zone approximately
5-10 minutes before the cooking
is completed.

Rapid hot plate
A red dot in the middle of the plate shows
a rapid hot plate. A rapid hot plate heats
up faster than usual plates.
The red dots are painted on the plates.
They can deteriorate during use and even
disappear completely after a period of
time. It does not have an effect on the
performance of the appliance.

Cookware
• The bottom of the cookware
must be as thick and flat as
possible.
6.2
Energy saving
• If possible, always put the lids
on the cookware.
• Put cookware on a solid hot-
plate before you start it.
• Stop the solid hotplate before
the end of the cooking time to
use residual heat.
