The component used is a variable-speed single-phase asynchronous motor.
A tachymetric sensor, housed inside the motor, constantly monitors the speed, which is then
transmitted to the electronic control unit.
DETERMINATION OF MOTOR SPEED
During the execution of the washing programme, the electronic control system controls the
operation of the motor at different speeds (controlled or variable).
The signal transmitted by the tachimetric sensor allows the electronic control system
(microprocessor) to detect the speed of the motor; after performing a series of calculations, the
control system switches on the Triac in order to generate the correct motor speed.
The following motor speeds are used during the washing cycle:- Fixed speeds 1600/2300/2800
RPM. Variable speed 1600 to 2800 RPM.
*WASH/DRAIN
The system which controls the operation of the wash and drain function is governed by the
electronic control system, which powers the primary winding and the auxiliary winding
alternately via a switching relay built into the circuit board.
The electronic control circuit of the motor is controlled by:
The TRIAC (TY1), which powers the two windings and determines the speed of rotation of the
motor.
The RELAY (R1), which determines the switching of the power supply to the two motor
windings.
Switching procedure is as follows:
WASH motor RELAY not energised
DRAIN motor RELAY energised
