INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
STEP 6:
REAR REFRACTORY PANEL
A)
Tack the panel in place by applying construction
adhesive to the backside (corners only) of the Rear
Refractory Panel.
B)
Insert panel through fireplace opening with scratch
coat facing out. Place foot of Refractory Panel on
top of the Back Panel footing. The Rear Refractory
Panel fits inside the Back Panel.
STEP 7:
MANTEL SECTION
A)
Apply construction adhesive to the top of the Legs
and the Back Panel (exterior).
i)
Do not apply adhesive along the top of the Rear
Refractory Panel. It should remain clean to
accept the Metal Flue Liner Bottom Section in
step 9.
B)
Place the Mantel Section on top of the unit lining
up the bolt holes. The smaller opening should be up
and at the back of the fireplace unit.
C)
Insert 8 bolts, 16 washers, and 8 nuts in the holes at
the top of the Legs. Access these bolt holes through
the firebox and the open Legs.
D)
Tighten bolts a ¼ turn past snug.
STEP 8:
FRONT PLATE
A)
Apply construction adhesive to the top of the Front
Plate (side with bolt holes).
B)
Install Front Plate between the Legs and against the
bottom of the Mantel Section.
C)
Line up bolt holes and add 3 bolts, 6 washers, and 3
nuts by accessing from inside the fireplace opening.
D)
Tighten a ¼ turn past snug.
