12 SETTING LIMITS
Low and High limits can be set by the user to monitor whether depth of cover or half-cell potential
is within specifications.
MENU / SETUP / LIMITS
Set the limit value and toggle the tick box to switch the limit on or off.
Limits for cover and for half-cell potential are stored in separate memory locations within your
Covermeter and are therefore retained as the mode is switched between cover and half-cell.
With limits switched on, when you take a reading which is within the limits, the Covermeter will beep
once. When you take a reading which is outside the limits, the Covermeter will beep three times to
warn you of an out-of-limit reading.
When limits are switched on, any readings taken which are outside a limit are indicated on the
reading screen by an arrow icon;

When batching is switched on and limits are switched on, readings in a batch which are outside the
limits are marked as follows:
•
Down arrow icon
if the reading is below the low limit.
•
Up arrow icon
if the reading is above the high limit.
