Progress of the test:
1. Gradually press buttons left to right, from the top to the bottom. Start by pressing the
MENU button. Only
press the PLU button one time (during the test of the third row). The test is completed by pressing the
[TOTAL]
button.
2. After successful completion of the test, the printer will print out the words „TEST 310 OK“.
3. If a button is pressed in the improper order, a sound signalization will report the error until the correct button (the
following, according to the test) is pressed.
End the test by pressing
[TOTAL]. Upon completion of the test, the printer will print a report about the test.
3.5. Testing the external interfaces
3.5.1. Testing the serial interfaces COM1 and COM2
The tests check the proper functioning of the RS232 ports COM1 and COM2. For these tests a terminating connector is
necessary to.

Launching the test:
1. Push the terminating connector into the COM1 / COM2 connector.
2. Using the
[Right arrow] or
[Left arrow] keys, select the test
Port COM1 / Port COM2
.
3. Start the test by pressing
[TOTAL].
Progress of the test:
1. From the microcontroller, a 0x55 byte is sent to the output TxD COM1 / COM2.
2. The byte sent is brought through the terminating connector to the input of RxD COM1 / COM2 and read by the
microcontroller.
3. The progress of the test is evaluated by a short depiction of a report on the display and its printing out on the prin-
ter. If the byte received corresponds with the one sent, the test is deemed successful.
Upon completion of the test, the printer will print a report about the test.
Note
Performing the Port COM1 / Port COM2 test without a terminating connector will end with a result reading „Error“.
3.5.2. Testing the USB interface
The test checks the functioning of the USB slave interface.
For testing the USB interface a PC is necessary with the USB driver for the Euro 50T Mini installed and an emulator ter-
minal (for example, a hyperterminal). Settings: transfer speed of 38400, 8bit, without parity, 1 stop bit, without control
of data flow (38400, 8N1). The terminal must be set for the COM port on which the PC detects the cash register after it
is connected to the USB interface.
