Registration mode
4 Operation manual in registration mode
The functions that are described in the following chapters can be used in the Register mode. All financial
transactions are stored in this mode.
If the ECR allows you to use the training mode, you can try the following functions in the
training mode first (sales data are not stored in the memory).
4.1.2 Printing modes
Cash Register Euro-1000T allows you to choose the printing mode according to two basic criterions:
1. Printing speed
2. Power consumption
Two character fonts are included in Euro-1000T: small (height 2 mm) and normal (height 2,5mm). The small
font is used in case of no external power source is connected to Cash register (adaptor, battery box etc.).
Normal font is used if external power source is connected to ECR.
If the ECR is powered just from the internal lead-acid accumulator, user can choose one from three printing
modes with small character font.
1.
Normal
- normal printing saturation, normal power consumption. This mode is set as default.
2.
Economical
- the printing saturation is a little bit lower than normal one. The printing speed is
little bit higher than normal one. The lowest power consumption is in this mode. This mode
should be used for the ECR to work with no external power supply as long as possible.
3.
High speed
- the printing saturation is a little bit lower than normal. The printing speed is
much higher than normal. The highest power consumption. This mode takes advantage if
sales cadence is high. The discharge of the internal lead-acid accumulator is much higher
than in normal mode, so that the ECR can work without external power supply less time than
in normal mode.
If the ECR is powered from external power source, user can choose one of the three printing modes with
normal character font.
1.
Normal
- normal printing saturation, normal power consumption. This mode is set as default.
2.
Economical
- normal printing saturation. The printing speed is lower than in normal mode. The
power consumption is the lowest. This mode takes advantage if you need to use ECR and you
need to charge the internal lead-acid accumulator at the same time.
3.
High speed
- the printing saturation is a little bit lower than normal one. The printing speed is
much higher than normal one. Power consumption is lower than normal. This mode takes
advantage if sales cadence is high.
Note : Programing of system flag 6. sets the printing modes.
4.1 Before you start a day
4.1.1 Recommended procedures for manager at the beginning of the day
1. Check if there is enough paper on the roll in the printer for the day. Insert a new paper roll,
if necessary.
2. Print out the X report and make sure that date and time values are correct and that Z report
was executed.
3. Check whether there is enough cash in drawer.
4. Register the initial cash put into the drawer by means of
S
(RA)
button.
