Checklist
Replacing the electrodes
Maintenance of the boiler should be
carried out by authorized personnel
only.
In order to ensure con nued good
and safe opera on of the boiler, it
should be inspected at least once per
year.
A maintenance protocol should be
fi lled out (see end of this chapter for
example of maintenance protocol).
Checklist
The following ac vi es must be
carried out, see following paragraphs
for an extensive descrip on of the
main ac vi es:
• Replace the igni on and ionisa on
electrodes;
• Clean the condensate receptacle;
• Clean and re
fi ll the syphon;
• Inspect the combus on chamber,
clean if necessary (DON’T use water !);
• Check the water pressure of the
system;
• Check the water quality of the
system water as well as supply
water;
• Check the water fl ow rate through
the boiler;
• Check/correct the combus on
values at full and mimimum load
with a combus on analyzer;
• Check the gas pressure to the
boiler;
• Check the ghtness of all sealed
connec ons and test points;
• Check the func oning of the Air
pressure switch (3); make sure that
the pipes are free of moisture.
• Check the func onality of all safety
devices;
• Fill out a maintenance checklist.
Replacing the electrodes
The electrodes are posi oned on the
top side of the boiler. Replace the
igni on electrode (1) and ionisa on
electrode (2) as shown in the
diagram.
