• Always remain alert and focused, and
approach all tasks with a sense of reasonable
caution! Under no circumstances must you use
the grinder if you are unable to concentrate or
feel unwell.

Before using for the first time
Charge the battery pack (see Fig. A)
Check the inserted tool before using the grinder!
It must be correctly inserted or attached, must
not be damaged or damp, nor show evidence
of any cracking etc., and must be able to rotate
freely. Always execute a 60-second trial run!
Never use tools with non-rounded contours or
which vibrate. Be alert for unusual noises and
sparking. Should you observe such things, check
that all mounting and/or attachment compo-
nents are properly secured.
CAUTION!
• Always unplug the grinder from the mains
supply before inserting or removing the
battery pack

from the charger.
• Never charge the battery pack

when the
ambient temperature is below 10°C or above
40 °C.
• Insert the battery pack

into the rapid char-
ging device (see Fig. A).
• Plug the mains plug into the mains socket to
complete the charging process and prepare
the battery pack

for use.
PLEASE NOTE!
During the charging process, the charge level
display will indicate the current charge status as
follows:
-
Charge-level under 30%:
All three charge-le-
vel indicators flash on and off in sequence.
- Charge-level under 60%:
One charge-level
indicator will glow steadily whilst the other two
will flash on and off alternately.
- Charge-level over 60%:
Two charge-level
indicators will glow steadily whilst the remaining
one will flash on and off continuously.
- Fully charged:
All three charge-level indicators
will glow steadily.
PLEASE NOTE!
If all three charge-level indicators flash on and
off continuously for longer than 20 minutes
during the charging process then the battery
must be removed, cooled for 15 to 30 minutes
and then reinserted in the charging unit. Should
the charge-level indicators continue to flash on
and off, it may mean that either the battery or
the charger is defective.
Please Note:
The charging unit can get hot
following several consecutive charging cycles;
this is perfectly normal. Please ensure that you
charge the battery in a well-ventilated space.
Battery Capacity Display
To check the remaining battery charge, press the
switch, which will illuminate the battery capacity
display lights.
1=The battery charge level is less than 25%.
(the battery needs to be charged)
2=The battery charge level is between 25%-50%.
3=The battery charge level is between 50%-75%.
4=The battery charge level is between 75%-100%.
