Dome Lowered and Removed
Use this procedure only if you
are moving the GPS to another
building or if your doorways are
narrower than 90 cm (35 in.).
To safely move the GPS with the dome
removed
, do the following.
2.4.3.1
Secure the GPS

Remove the patient chair from under the dome.

Remove power from the GPS as follows:
a)
On the GPS computer, close all software.
b)
Select
Apple > Shut Down
to turn off the computer.
c)
On the isolation transformer, turn
off
the mains power
supply by flipping the
mains disconnect switch
to
OFF
(
O
).

Unplug all GPS cables (data and power) and safely secure them.

Hand loosen the upper gantry’s locking handle
counterclockwise about two turns.

From behind the gantry
, hold both handle bars on the upper
gantry and manually lower the upper gantry and dome to the
bottom stop.

Hand tighten the upper gantry’s locking handle clockwise
about two turns, until snug. Do not overtighten.
Tools needed (not provided):
•
3/8-inch Hex socket nut driver
•
T15 Torx screwdriver
•
5/32-inch Hex L-wrench
