Pinch or crush hazards.
•
Moving parts are a pinch or crush hazard. Keep all clothing, hair,
and body parts well away from moving parts, including the
dome, and use caution when operating to prevent bodily injury.
•
Pinch or crush hazard possible when rotating the dome, when
moving the gantry, or if the internal counterbalanced cables fail
(allowing the dome to drop).
•
Ensure that all four wheels of the gantry are locked at all times
the GPS is in use.
•
Watch your head hazard.
Keep the patient’s and your heads clear of
the dome’s bars and sharp edges. Physical injury may result.

Grounding Warnings
WARNING:
•
Disconnect power before servicing to prevent physical injury or
equipment damage.
•
Ensure grounding reliability.
This can be achieved only when
equipment is connected to an equivalent receptacle marked “Hospital
Only” or “Hospital Grade.”
•
Use a properly grounded outlet.
Otherwise, damage or injury may result.

Cords, Connectors, and Cables
WARNING:
•
Use only approved power connections and never connect a non-GPS
power cord or multiple socket outlet (i.e., power strip or extension
cord) to the GPS.
Use only the EGI-approved power cords, connectors,
cables, adapters, and multiple socket outlet that came with the GPS.
•
Inspect your connectors and cables.
To reduce the risk of electrical
shock, discontinue the use of worn or damaged electrical connectors
and cables. Contact EGI Technical Support (Table P-1) for approved
replacement parts for the country where the system is being used.
•
Never repair nondetachable cords.
