Safe operation
2 Safe operation
Prerequisites
Users of the machine must strictly adhere to the following instructions apart from the warning
signs and warning information in the operating instructions:
•
Before operating the machine, it must be checked for traffic and operational safety
•
When using the machine, it is forbidden to wear long loose hair and loose clothing or
jewelry, which might become trapped in the machine.
•
Closed footwear with non-slip soles is indespensable.
•
Before starting to work, the user must be acquainted with all facilities and control ele-
ments and their functions.
•
All defects must be rectified before each use.
•
All safety equipment must be properly installed.
•
The operator bears the full responsibility for third parties in the danger zone.
Stones and other objects might be projected during work. Persons, particularly children,
and pets must be kept away from the machine.
•
Any working method impairing the stability of the machine is prohibited.
•
Foreign objects must be removed from the area to be worked on before starting work.
Milestones, pieces of stone, drainage covers etc. should be identified with a marker post
before the work is begun.
•
Only work during daylight hours or with sufficient artificial lighting.
•
Working on the machine under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden.
•
Never allow children to use the machine
•
Persons or pets must not be transported on the machine.
•
When leaving the machine, secure it against rolling away and unauthorized use
•
No changes must be made to safety equipment.
•
Never remove any warning sign. Replace lost or illegible warning signs.
•
Always turn off the engine and the blower drive in case of obstructions in the discharge
chute and wait until the snow blower is completely stopped. Then use a wooden rod to
remove the obstruction.
Accident

Stopping the
In case of unexpected situations, immediately switch off the blower drive and apply the
blower drive
parking brake.
