7.2
SpeCiAL mAiNTeNANCe
The NUVOLA TOUCH steam generator has an internal system that signals when scheduled maintenance is
necessary. This will depend on the number of hours the unit has been in use and the hardness of the water,
for which the default setting is high.
Very high
for water harder than 30°f
High
for water hardness between 20°f and 30°f
Medium
for water hardness between 10°f and 20°f
The user is informed of this situation when the control icons on the panel start flashing.
The icons will flash for about 30 seconds in cycles of 1 minute for the entire time that the Hammam/Turkish
bath is in use.
The speed at which the icons are flashing indicates the urgency of the operation (de-scaling).
This operation is not covered by the guarantee. eFFegiBi® recommends using a water
filter and a de-scaling system upstream of the steam generator to mitigate this problem.
Damage to the boiler or malfunction due to failure to perform regular inspections are not legally required to be
covered by the guarantee.
7.1
rOUTiNe mAiNTeNANCe
EFFEGIBI® steam generators have been designed to need little maintenance.
However, every six months, or more often in hard-water areas (over 30 French degrees), inspect
- the inlet and outlet valves;
- the boiler.
Remove any deposits such as lime scale and other impurities produced by boiling water.
maintenance must only be performed by qualified personnel.
Before gaining access to any of the internal parts, disconnect from the electricity and water
mains.
In all circumstances, maintenance must be performed in compliance with the safety regulations
that apply to the installation site.
