6.3.1 Lubricants
The lubricant must meet the requirements of the
relevant regulations (DIN 1672) as regards
suitability for use in food processing.

6.4 Maintenance of the saw
6.4.1 Saw blade
Regularly inspect the saw blade for damage. If the
self-locking mechanism of the hexagon nut is not
working properly, immediately replace the nut.
The saw blade must be inspected for wear every
30,000 to 50,000 carcasses.
Do
not attempt to sharpen the saw blade yourself .

6.4.2 Ball bearing
The ball bearing must be inspected every 150
operating hours; replace it, if necessary.
