Possible errors
The connection between the PC and the controller is to be checked if no connection is gen-
erated by carrying out the described procedure.

Note
A first check of the cable connection can be carried out by means of a jumper between pins
2 and 3 at the cable socket (that is connected to the controller):
• Subsequently, the terminal program is called as before and optional letters are input
via the keyboard.
• If the input keyboard characters are correctly displayed on the screen of the terminal
program (due to the bridge, the characters are transmitted back in the form of an
echo), the cable is to be checked for a mixed up pin assignment (Pin2/3), for a short
circuit and the connection is to be checked for correct parameters.
