Chapter 4. Handheld mode measurement
4.2 Audiometry
The “Settings” button opens a window allowing you to
set the level of the masking noise as well as the starting
power of the automatic protocols. Click “OK” to con-
firm
After selecting the ear (right or left), the
«Start»
button became available. Click on it to start the measurement.
Measurement
The
Pure Tone audiometry
window opens. The
AUDI-
O
SMART
device will automatically scan the pre-config-
ured frequencies and increase or decrease the stimuli
power according to the patient answers. A red blinking
indicator on the top left of the screen indicates when the
stimuli occur.
Click on “
Yes
” or “
No
” according to the patient an-
swers.
Click on “
Restart
” if you want to replay the stimuli.
Once the acquisition protocol ends, the curve is constructed. You have the choice between saving the curve with the
“Save” button or delete it by leaving the window with the back cross.

Manual mode
The manual doctor mode allows to change the frequency and power manually. This provides the possibility of making
a custom testing protocol.
Measurement
The bellow windows give access to the stimulation configuration.
The icon of a floppydisk at the bottom right of the screen is used for recording the parameters defined above.
They then become the default parameters for this type of measurement.
