If smoke leakage from the stove occurs, immediately heat the stoves flue ways through the front bottom
bungs with a hot air gun to warm them to assist natural convection through the stove.
a)
Initial Firing model E730
(slow heat release for 15250 operation)
See note * above
The stove should be fired with 4 loads of 1.5kg+ (batches) of wood for total 6kg.
The stove may be started with a firelighter or paper twists and kindling.
Start with .5kg kindling.
After kindling has begun thorough combustion (about 5 minutes), the stove should be loaded with 4
small split logs 60mm diameter to 400mm long stacked in the fire box (see page 18) , approximately
1.5kg. The primary air ash pit front should be pulled out 1mm maximum for 30 seconds to bring flames
into view then closed. The next 1.5kgs of wood can now be added in the same way. This next batch
load should be fired with the ashpit open 1mm for 30 seconds until the fuel is in all around flame
whereupon the ash pit may be closed if stoves temperatures continue to rise to working “best”
temperature where upon add the remainder of the first 6 kg batch of wood.
The ash pit drawer should be closed until the stove reaches its maximum 150˚ to 200⁰C design
temperature – after which the ash pit drawer is only used to boost ignition after each refuelling for 30
seconds @ 1mm open at any one refuelling time (until the new log load is wrapped in flame).
b)
Subsequent Firing
Re-starting the stove after its initial firing should be carried out
with the ash pit cleared out and pulled out maximum 1mm.
This will rapidly warm up the body and flue ways.
A lively fire will be seen which is ideal. Run at this rate for the first
load of fuel.

c)
Re-fuelling after starting
The re-loading should be of 2 further batches of 1.5kg of dry split logs at each re-fuelling (see page 18).
